Nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.4 reviewI must admit that I'm a fun for available light photography (a rising nieche as cameras hight ISO ability rises with every new camera model) and prime lens use in particular.Photozone.de posted a review for the Nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.4.

The Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G Lens is a standard lens with an ultra-bright f/1.4 aperture, which allows for fast, accurate shooting with available light. It is also the excellent choice for when a shallow depth of field is desired. The equivalent focal length when used on a DX-format camera is 75mm, which makes it ideal as a short portrait lens with desirable shallow depth of field.

The  Nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.4 review bottom line:"The lens is able to deliver ver sharp images, at least slightly stopped down.
However it's not without flaws. Wide open, it lacks a bit sharpness and most of all contrast, vignetting is very high wide open, but that is to be expected on a full frame camera with a moderately priced fast prime."
